China expert since 1979, the oldest organization in Franco-Chinese economic relations.

The France China Committee (CFC) gathers French enterprises, active in France and with China on the long term, who work together to strengthen their position in and with China and to promote the Franco Chinese cooperation.

The France China Committee is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1979 at the initiative of the French business community and supported by the French and Chinese authorities, with the aim to promote the French enterprises’ offer of goods and services in China and successful Franco-Chinese cooperation. The Committee is co-chaired by Jean-Louis CHAUSSADE, CEO of Suez and Jean LEMIERRE Chairman of the board of BNP PARIBAS.

Essential player in the Franco-Chinese economic diplomacy, the France China Committee contributes to a better understanding between France and China, with the public decision makers at the central and local level and the French and Chinese business communities, to enhance business between its member companies and China.

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is a rapidly growing institution with a blooming local and global reputation for professional education and research. Throughout the years, CityU has built up a close tie with academic circle in France. One of the signature events is the France-Hong Kong Distinguished Lecture Series, which was firstly launched in 2005. The Lecture Series is organised by CityU under the auspices of the French Academy of Sciences, the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, and The Légion d’Honneur Club Hong Kong Chapter. Over the past 14 years, the Lecture Series has introduced many notable French scholars, including Field Medalists and Nobel Laureates to the CityU campus, providing the perfect platform for intellectual exploration, creative thinking and problem solving.

Apart from the academic ties, CityU is dedicated in establishing exchange and collaborations with French arts and culture. In the past couple of years, several French cultural exhibitions have been organised at CityU Exhibition Gallery.
The “Art Deco. The France-China Connection” exhibition tracing the origins of Art Deco in France, examining its influence of Chinese arts and craftsmanship on French designers and artisans, and exploring the Art Deco lifestyle in China is now running at CityU till June 2019.

The  French Tech Community Hong Kong / Shenzhen promotes technology & innovation cooperation between entrepreneurs and the ecosystem. It create bridges between French and international tech ecosystems.

A new board is now in place, composed of Tech professionals and entrepreneurs. Board members are volunteers, and they are dedicated to help the community spread across Hong-Kong and Shenzhen.


French President Emmanuel Macron has launched a new version of La French Tech. French Tech Communities are now established in major cities around the world with a common aim.

French Tech is a free network opened to everyone sharing the values of the French tech for Good. Locally our Community now brings together Hong Kong and Shenzhen. La French Tech is not limited to French people, but is open to anyone in Tech who has an interest for the French market and share the vision.
